We originally began Mid-America Farms in the Midwest in 1977. In 1992, we relocated to Texas and the operation was renamed Vinita Farms. Vinita Farms is a lifetime member of the American Angus Association.

Like many other start-up Angus breeders, we couldn’t afford to begin with top stock. Over the years, we continued to improve our herd.

Today, our donor cows are among the best in the Angus breed in one category or another. The results premium cattle for seedstock, registered or commercial producers.

Over the years, in order to make ends meet, we became creative and established alternative sources of income. We had our minds made up to expand the farm operation to accomplish this, rather than go to off-farm jobs. That meant cut back on lifestyle and expenses. They were difficult times, but they were character-building times - lessons you don’t forget. God strengthens us through difficult times.
